Now inviting a small closed beta

Think with the
notes you already trust.

Lava brings the ideas you have already captured into the conversation—so your Obsidian vault becomes active material for better thinking.

Free, limited usage during closed beta

Lava in Obsidian answering a question using the explicitly referenced Liquid intelligence and Adaptive systems notes

Context on demand

Bring the right note into the right thought.

01

Mention what matters

Type @ and choose the note you want Lava to consider.

02

Lava reads it before answering

Only explicitly referenced notes become context. Nothing else in your vault is accessed.

03

Keep your momentum

Ask, connect, challenge, and continue—without leaving Obsidian.

Clear boundaries, clearly stated

AI, with your hand
on the dial.

Lava is useful precisely because its access is narrow, intentional, and easy to understand.

Selective context

Lava sees only the notes you explicitly reference in a conversation.

Read, don’t rearrange

It cannot edit, move, create, or delete anything in your vault.

No content retention

Referenced note content passes through Lava Cloud to an AI provider, but we do not store, read, or log that content.

Providers with a boundary

We use providers with no data retention that do not use your content to train AI models.

How selected context is handled: to answer your question, Lava sends only the notes you explicitly mention through its cloud service to carefully chosen AI providers—never your whole vault.
